The Falconieri delle Orobie are a family from the town of Villa d’Adda in Italy, who got so enamoured with the barn owl a family friend gave their daughter, Martina, they decided to make the adoption of nocturnal and diurnal raptors their full-time hobby. Their sanctuary, which is in the middle of a forest, currently hosts 22 of them and became famous after a YouTube video of Martina petting Molla, one of their owls, went viral. We were one a few of the 11 million people that watched it. Consequently, we couldn’t fight the urge to go and see the lovely owls ourselves.

When VICE Germany sent us some footage of the Lehnitz animal asylum, we weren’t sure how cute it was going to be. Little did we know, boar piglets live there! These little rascals were found in the woods and love to eat, sleep, play, and hang out with their surrogate mom, who’s a dog.

Bunny rabbits are adorable enough when they’re just sitting there twitching their pink noses or lapping water up from their little bottles, but when they’re hopping over brightly colored fences like tiny, long-eared horses while their super-enthusiastic trainers cheer from the sidelines, it makes you wonder why rabbit show jumping isn’t on TV all the time

THE WESTMINSTER DOG SHOW… ON ACID!
The Westminster Dog Show is a hellscape packed to the gills with Midwesterners and dogs who receive more attention and have better lives than at least 40 percent of the world. The amount of misplaced love and resources funnelled into these pooches on a daily basis is enough to make a stone-cold sober person uneasy. But yesterday I discovered that being thrust into the middle of the whole ordeal, while tripping acid, is a great way to kill an afternoon.

Starting around now until whenever the asshole who keeps stealing all of our magazines and selling them on eBay saunters in, our 2012 Fashion Issue will be sitting pretty in bars, clothing, and music stores all around the United Kingdom. Time was, we would post the whole issue on this website at once so that you greedy bastards could read it all in one gluttonous sitting. But now, heeding the advice of our marketing gurus, we’re going to be putting the issue up article by article, feeding you one new piece per day like a mamma bird dropping a worm into her baby bird’s mouth. The reason we’re doing this, of course, is that we want you to come back to this site every day, boosting our traffic and making us look more popular to people who wear suits for a living.
Anyway, this month’s cover was shot by Bryan Derballa, a bearded photo-taker who shoots a lot of our parties and also gigantic metal penises. I sat down with Bryan for a little chat about the pooch on the front of our new issue.

Dogs are cute as shit in general, but when you dress them up in S&M duds designed by Asher Levine, the adorability factor is multiplied by ∞. That stratospheric level of cuteness was hit last night, when a bunch of well-dressed people and even better-dressed dogs got together at Westway to celebrate the launch of our 2012 Fashion Issue.
